Renesas Electronics lead-free semiconductor products are compliant with the EU RoHS directive.
Also, Renesas Electronics aims to eliminate lead from the composed materials of all its semiconductor products.

Exemptions from EU RoHS Directive Regulations
The EU RoHS directive has several exemptions.
According to the products, the following exemptions are applied to lead-free products of Renesas Electronics.
- Lead in glass of cathode ray tubes, electronic components and fluorescent tubes
- Lead in Lead in high melting temperature type solders (i.e. lead-based alloys containing 85 % by weight or more lead).
- Lead in electronic ceramic parts (e.g. piezoelectronic devices).
Request on non RoHS-compliant products
