R8C/Mx

Overview

The R8C/Mx Series inherits the ease of use of the R8C/3x Series in a low-pin-count package with reduced current consumption not only during standby but also during operation. These products have a maximum operating frequency of 20 MHz and support a wide operating voltage range from 1.8 to 5.5 V. Standard on-chip peripherals include 16-bit Timers, UART/Clock Synchronous Serial Interface, , , High/Low-speed On-chip Oscillator, Watchdog Timer, etc.

• SSOP and DIP package lineup of 14 and 20 pins, and LQFP package lineup of 32 pins
• 2, 4, 8, or 16 KB on-chip Flash
• 5 MHz operation at 1.8 V supply voltage, and 20 MHz operation from 2.7 V available
• Data flash programming at 1.8 V supply voltage
• Choice timers inherited from R8C/3x, 38000/740, and H8
• On-chip and take the place of external reset IC
• Built-in High-speed On-chip Oscillator takes the place of external oscillator

Key Applications

Small household appliances (shavers, electric toothbrushes, etc.) and white goods (vacuum cleaners, rice cookers, electric rice wamers, etc.)
